The Vertical Internship Program is designed to provide the exposure, experience, and education necessary to build a foundation for your calling. The program is for anyone who attends the Vertical Church who is aged 16 and over. Over the course of the semester, you will learn theology, leadership, and hands-on experience during this unpaid internship.
 
Time Commitment - 20 hours a week:
   Every weekend for all three (3) services
   In-office hours Monday-Thursday (approx. 10 hours total)
   Department Meetings - date and time determined by department (1 hour)
   Intern Classes - Thursday afternoons (2 hours)
 
This is an unpaid internship – but if you successfully complete the twelve weeks, you will receive an iPad free of charge!

A: You must have a driver’s license and be 16 years of age or older. You must provide two personal or professional references. You must pass a background check.

Q: When does the program start and how long does it last?
A: The fall semester begins on February 7th and ends on April 28th.
 
Q: Are daytime office hours required?
A: Yes, this internship is designed for high school or college-aged students, but anyone is welcome to apply. You must attend and serve at all three (3) weekend services, attend weekly department meetings, and mandatory Intern Classes on Thursday afternoons from 1:00-3:00pm. You must also serve ten (10) additional office hours as determined by your department head.
 
Q: Do I get to pick the department I am assigned to?
A: No. Interns will be assigned to specific departments based on individual’s prior experience, interest, and the current ministry needs as determined by the church for each department.
