The Vertical Internship Program is designed to provide the exposure, experience, and education necessary to build a foundation for your calling. The program is for anyone who attends the Vertical Church who is aged 16 and over. Over the course of 16 weeks, you will learn theology, leadership, and hands-on experience during this unpaid internship.
 
Time Commitment - 20 hours a week:
   Every weekend for all four (4) services
   In-office hours Monday-Thursday (approx. 10 hours total)
   Department Meetings - date and time determined by department (1 hour)
   Intern Classes - Thursday afternoons (2 hours)
 
This is an unpaid internship – but if you successfully complete the first twelve weeks, you will accompany us to the S2 Conference in Chandler, AZ for free!
S2 is a conference designed to strengthen and multiply your ministry, and leadership in ways like never before. This year they will be focusing on ways God can multiply our influence and ministry across the globe.

Q: Is this a paid internship?
A: No. This is an un-paid internship opportunity. We are offering an all-expenses paid trip to Chandler, AZ for the S2 Conference November 9th-11th, assuming that you fulfil all the responsibilities of the internship program prior to that date.

A: You must have a driver’s license and be 16 years of age or older. You must provide two personal or professional references. You must pass a background check.

Q: When does the program start and how long does it last?
A: The fall semester begins on August 15th and ends on December 12th, 2021.
 
Q: Are daytime office hours required?
A: Yes, this internship is designed for high school or college-aged students, but anyone is welcome to apply. You must attend and serve at all four (4) weekend services, attend weekly department meetings, and mandatory Intern Classes on Thursday afternoons from 1:00-3:00pm. You must also serve ten (10) additional office hours. The office is open Monday-Thursday from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
 
Q: Do I get to pick the department I am assigned to?
A: No. Interns will be assigned to specific departments based on individual’s prior experience, interest, and the current ministry needs as determined by the church for each department.
