No Favorites, No Fakes
Most of us would never admit to playing favorites.
We’d never say out loud that one person matters more than another. But if we’re honest, it’s easy to make assumptions based on appearance, success, influence, background, or what someone can do for us. Our culture does it every day.
The problem is that Jesus never did.
We’re looking at a challenging passage from James that exposes how easy it is to see people through the world’s value system instead of God’s. Because real faith doesn’t just change what we believe, it changes how we see and treat people.
This message is a reminder that the ground is level at the foot of the cross. None of us earned God’s grace. None of us deserved His mercy. And because Jesus welcomed us, we are called to extend that same mercy to others.
