Elementary Director

Full Time

The Vertical Church is looking for a high capacity leader who wants to raise up other
leaders to lead elementary age students to Jesus. We are looking for someone that
wants more than just a job, they want to change the world.

General Description:
Provide support to the Kids Area elementary volunteers (Kinder – 5 th grade) by reformatting
lessons and preparing classroom for Elementary age kids; and plan classroom activities that
support the curriculum for the weekend services. This position also prepares reports, handles
information requests, and performs clerical functions.

Next Steps Assistant

Part-Time

General Description:
The role of the Next Steps Ministry Assistant is to work with the Next Steps Pastor, Lead Team, other
staff members and ministry lay leaders to ensure that systems, programs, and ministries are in place
that encourage people at The Vertical Church to grow more connected to God by directing and
coordinating efforts so that anyone who attends Vertical, from first time guests to leaders within the
church, are engaged in taking their next steps.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Assist the Next Steps Pastor by giving regular attention and follow up to all Next Steps related workflows in Planning Center to include but not limited too: First Step Application In, First Step Volunteer Booth, FPU Paper Sign-ups, Internship, New Believers, People Interested in Serving, Prayer Team Volunteers and Small Group Interest.
  2. Serve as admin of Small Groups by:
    • Assisting with Small Group Workflows.
    • Communicating with Group Leaders to ensure placement success.
  3. Assist with development and scheduling of the Adult and High School Internship Programs.
  4. Function as a member of the church’s staff
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
This individual must possess excellent interpersonal communication competencies: general computer,
administration, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in word processing
programs and the capacity to learn, understand, and utilize new and necessary software related to the
position (Planning Center, Church Center, and Text-In Church).
