Youth Pastor

Our church exists so that people far from God can become the hands and feet of Jesus. We have a Family Ministry Department with an opening for Youth Pastor. This person should be an experienced, self starter, driven person who wants to grow a ministry to reach students far from God in grades 6th through 12th!

Duties would include but not limited to:
- Overseeing all ministry from 6th - 12th Grades
- Directly Report to our Family Ministry Director
- Serve on the Family Ministry Team
- Lead and Empower a team of adult volunteers
- Raise up Student Leaders to actively carry out the vision of the entire church
- Plan and execute weekly and monthly events and services
- Be involved in local Middle and High School Campuses
- Implement and execute a Social Media Plan to 6th-12th graders
- Graphic design, video edit, and create avenues of ministry through media

vision of the church!

Finance Administrator

Our administration team has an opening for a finance administrator. This person should be an experienced, self starter, driven person who is able to assist our administration department in financial and budget management.

Bookkeeping
Developing Budgets and Implementing them
Facilitating Payroll and Employee Benefits

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for all financial processes within the church, including budgeting, forecasting, year-end processes, accounts payable/receivable, project expense management, reconciliations, bookkeeping, audits, giving reporting, etc.
  2. Manages banking and handles all ACS financial practices
  3. Ensures thorough and timely administration, sound financial stewardship, and clear communication in all matters related to this position and this area of operation
  4. Manages the counters, counting process, and all aspects of congregational giving and recordkeeping
  5. Reviews monthly and year-end financial statements and verifies banking accuracy
  6. Manages quarterly forecast processes and summarizes as appropriate. Ensures all internal departments are informed and in alignment.
  7. Responsible for Safety compliance.
  8. Work with auditors to ensure sound and compliant accounting principles are in place throughout the operation
  9. Provides general support and leads special projects as necessary
  10. Responsible for ensuring sound investments of church funds
  11. Signs all contracts between the church and outside entities, ensuring proper and timely preparation.
  12. Work with all department leads to ensure overall budget parameters are met

Lead Custodian

Our facilities team has an opening for a lead custodian. This person should be an experienced, self starter, driven person who is able to assist our facilities department in facilities and grounds management.

General Description:
The Lead Custodian is responsible for all aspects of ensuring that the facility is always clean, safe, attractive and well maintained inside and out.  This includes development and execution of a cleaning schedule, volunteer development and recruitment.  The Sunday morning experience is always the main focus of The Vertical Church, so monitoring cleanliness and any hazards that may come up are of the most importance.   This employee performs cleaning functions on the day or evening shift, using a team of volunteers.  Work is evaluated through observation while work is in progress and by inspection of completed assignments.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Monitoring the trash receptacles in all areas during all services on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.
  2. Monitoring bathrooms in all areas throughout the week and during all services on Sunday mornings to ensure trash is contained, toilets are clean and flushed, toilet paper rolls are full, paper towels are full and in proper working order, soap dispensers are full and in proper working order, and floors are clean and clear of any debris.
  3. Have a mop and bucket available for any spills that may occur in all areas.
  4. Inspect the Main Auditorium between each service to maintain a clean environment for the next service coming in which may involve picking up trash and inspect for any spills.  
  5. Work closely with the Executive of Operations and Facilities Manager and oversee the coordination of church workdays and other facility related projects.
  6. Stay informed of all church activities using the church calendar to ensure that the facility is presentable throughout the week for all events or ministries.
  7. Assist in the set up and tear down for weekly ministry activities.
  8. Requires extensive walking, stooping, pushing, carrying, climbing, bending and lifting
  9. Cleans by sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, sealing, buffing, washing rooms, vacuuming, washing surfaces, etc.
  10. Moves and stores furniture and equipment
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
