Part 3: I Am A Person Who Invests And Invites
Conversation starter. Start light and fun conversation in your group about the series topic.
Talk about the joy you’ve had when someone you invested time into started to make progress. (This could be a child, co-worker, friend, or other.)
Contemplate. Ask questions to get your group thinking about these principles.
Read Luke 5:31-32 and John 20:21. Who is eligible to be called? Who is being sent for those being called?
Read all of Luke 15 with your group then reread Luke 15:7, 10, 20. Why is it so important to reach the lost? What are the benefits? How do you think God views reaching them?
Contribute. Ask questions that create personal openness in your group.
Did everyone pick their one person as Jason asked? Why did they pick that one? Or, why haven’t they picked one?
Cry out to God. Pray intensely for your group on the topic.
Father, thank You for the angels who rejoiced when we made our decisions to follow You. We want there to be continued rejoicing in heaven as we invite people to church and they come to know You. Give us the strength and courage to invest in the people You’ve placed in our hearts and find a way to invite them to church. We trust You and we love You. It is in Jesus’s name we pray, amen.
Commit to change. What’s a new area to grow with the Lord?
I will invite my one to church this week.
I will find ways to invite others to church as well.
