Part 4: Someone Needs You

Sep 2, 2018    Jeremy Dillman

Conversation starter. Start light and fun conversation in your group about the series topic.
•Talk about a time when the realization hit you, “God is in control!”
•Read 1 Peter 3:15. What is the hope you have in Jesus and why?
Contemplate. Ask questions to get your group thinking about these principles.
•Read Philippians 2:3-5. What should we avoid doing? What are we supposed to do? Why?
•Read Matthew 28:18-19 and Mark 16:15. Who should we be trying to reach? Why?
•Read Colossians 4:3-6. Do you pray for people to be reached with the gospel? Why or why not?
Contribute. Ask questions that create personal openness in your group.
•Talk about a time when you were more worried about your own interests rather than others or you were unselfish and kept others as more important than yourself. What was the result?
•Talk about what holds you back from investing in more people for Jesus. If God is in complete control, what is there to worry about?
Cry out to God. Pray intensely for your group on the topic.
Father, help us to recognize how good it is that You are in control of everything. Give us strength to go out and invest in others while we leave the results up to You. We thank You for what You are doing through us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Commit to change. What’s a new area to grow with the Lord?
•I commit to investing my time into one new person this week and inviting them to church.
