Conversation starter. Start light and fun conversation in your group about the series topic.
•Talk about how well you kept your room clean growing up and if things have changed. Did your mom clean your room?
Contemplate. Ask questions to get your group thinking about these principles.
•Read John 9:1-7
•Do you sometimes think something bad is happening because of what you or someone close to you did?
•Whose life and work should we be dependent on? Why?
Contribute. Ask questions that create personal openness in your group.
•What messy situations are going on in your life right now? And, what are you doing to trust God in that mess?
Cry out to God. Pray intensely for your group on the topic.
Father, please work a miracle in our messes. Help us to be still and listen to Your voice telling us where You want us to go. Show us how You will fix our circumstances and grow us closer to You. Thank You, Father, for Your continued work in our lives. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
Commit to change. What’s a new area to grow with the Lord?
•I will look for one new area in my life that needs a change and spend an hour this week in prayer and Bible reading to ask God what he wants to do in that area. I will go where He sends.
•I will trust God with my finances.
•I will trust God by serving on Sundays.
