Part 3: Everyone Has A Story

Aug 26, 2018    Jason Taylor

Conversation starter. Start light and fun conversation in your group about the series topic.
•Talk about the circumstances and people that were there when you first believed in Jesus.
Contemplate. Ask questions to get your group thinking about these principles.
•Read John 20:21. What is the type of peace Jesus is talking about and what are you supposed to do with it?
•Read Romans 3:23-24. What do these verses say every person has done and what was God’s response to it?
•Read Romans 10:9-10. How accessible is salvation for everyone?
Contribute. Ask questions that create personal openness in your group.
•Go over the points under, “How to share your story.” Have the group write out small practice notes for each point and each person take a couple minutes to tell their story.
•If anyone has used their story to help someone, please take the time to share how that made them feel with the group.
Cry out to God. Pray intensely for your group on the topic.
Father, give us the strength and courage to be willing to share our story with everyone we talk to. Please show us when to speak and give us encouragement as You send us out to make it hard to get to hell from Yuma, AZ. Thank you, Father. It is in Jesus’ name we pray.
Commit to change. What’s a new area to grow with the Lord?
•I commit to share my story with one new person this week.
•I will write out a short version of my story to share in quick situations and a longer one for people I will have more time with. Writing will help you remember it.
