Part 2: The Basics

Conversation starter. Start light and fun conversation in your group about the series topic.
•What are some things you have believed about heaven that you don’t anymore?
Contemplate. Ask questions to get your group thinking about these principles.
•Read I Corinthians 2:9; Psalm 84:10; and Revelation 21:1-5; and 22:3. Imagine the good things that might be taking place in heaven and talk about them.
•Two lies about heaven are, “Heaven can wait,” and, “Most people are going to heaven.” Do you believe this should affect your interactions with others? How?
Contribute. Ask questions that create personal openness in your group.
•In Revelation 21:1-5 it says, “The old order of things has passed away.” What are some current activities and mindsets in your life that you would consider the old order of things?
•Will you be going to heaven? What do you base your answer on?
Cry out to God. Pray intensely for your group on the topic.
Father, help us to stay focused on You and the future we have with You in heaven. We believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven. Give us the desire to share Jesus with others because we want heaven to be filled for Your glory. In Jesus’s name, we pray. Amen.

•Commit to pray for the people that are unsaved and still need a relationship with Jesus.
