Part 3: Where Did You Come From?

Nov 18, 2018    Jason Taylor

Conversation starter. Start light and fun
conversation in your group about the series topic.
• Two-part question: Forgetting your past, what
is something big you hope God would use you
to accomplish? What is stopping you from
going after that?
Contemplate. Ask questions to get your group
thinking about these principles.
• Read Philippians 3:13-14: How does a person
live for Jesus the way Paul talks about here?
What does this type of life look like?
• Read Galatians 4:4-6: What rights do a son or
daughter have that outsiders don’t?
Contribute. Ask questions that create personal
openness in your group.
• What from your past or present is stopping you
from allowing God to do all He can through
you?
• When you pray, what do you call God? i.e.
Father, God, Lord. Why? What do you think
that term for Him says about your relationship
with Him?
Cry out to God. Pray intensely for your group on
the topic.
Abba Father, give us the strength we need to
forget our pasts and cling to the future You create
for us. Thank You for Your amazing love that
allows us to be Your children. Thank You, Jesus,
for Your work on the cross that allowed for us to
be adopted children of the Father, Amen.
Commit to change. What’s a new area to grow
with the Lord?
• I will pray, read scripture, and talk to other
Christ followers for at least 3 hours this week
to seek after the future God has created for me.
