Part 2: Whatever It Takes

Jun 17, 2018    Jason Taylor

Conversation starter. Start light and fun conversation in your group about the series topic.
•How far would you go to see a true miracle be worked in front of you? Why?
Contemplate. Ask questions to get your group thinking about these principles.
•Read John 4:46-49. It would have been about a day’s journey for the Royal official to get to Jesus. What do you think was going through his mind during that trip?
•Read John 4:50-53. Get the group talking about what he might have thought on the trip back and after hearing the news of his son being healed.
Contribute. Ask questions that create personal openness in your group.
•In what ways are you seeking to grow closer to Jesus?
•What are you asking for in your prayers?
•If someone followed you around for three days, what would they say are your priorities?
Cry out to God. Pray intensely for your group on the topic.
Father, bring things into our lives that make us desperate for You. Don’t let us forget Your miraculous power to move in our lives. If something is getting in the way of our focus toward You, remove it from our lives and change our hearts back to You alone. Thank You Lord. Amen
Commit to change. What’s a new area to grow with the Lord?
•(If not regularly in God’s Word and prayer) I will spend both 10 minutes in prayer and 10 minutes in Bible reading at least 3 days this week.—Read John if you need a Bible direction.
•(If you are reading and praying daily) I will double my normal prayer and reading time twice this week.
•I will call 2 people from my group this week for accountability in this commitment to change.
